Reconfigurable Payload (SRP) Development Go Ahead For Airborne Marine Corps Applications

Assurance Technology Corporation announced receipt of approval
from the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) for the next phase of Software
Reconfigurable Payload (SRP) development. This program will result in a form
factored unit for integration on both manned and unmanned airborne Navy and
Marine Corps. Platforms. The SRP will provide an advanced, small form
factor, on-the fly reconfigurable payload capable of multiple simultaneous
communications, data routing, data collection and dissemination missions. The
SRP will enable rapid upgrades in response to changing threats and missions
using software uploads.
